Welcome to Oxford Language Tuition with me, Sue Mushin. I offer private tuition in Spanish and French at all levels and for all ages. I also offer tuition in English as a Foreign or Second Language for all levels, and I prepare students for the Common Entrance French exam.
I have been tutoring for many years and my students include those of all abilities, some with dyslexia.
Online tuition is also available and I can do short-term residential assignments abroad.
Having gained a Modern Language degree in French and Spanish at Cambridge University, I went on to become a fully qualified teacher and hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (secondary school) from the Institute of Education, University of London.
I taught for several years in secondary schools in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and have also written and edited language teaching materials for the BBC, Oxford University Press and other publishers, used all over the world.
I hold a DBS certification (safety certificate for working with children)
"Sue worked on a foreign language DVD script for me, translating to German, Spanish, French & Italian. There was a lot of medical content which needed extensive research for accuracy. She was very prompt working to very tight deadlines and always had a smile when I threw last-minute changes at her"
Andy Matheson - Owner, Panache Video Ltd
"Sue understands kids: she was always calm with an unpredictable stressed teenager. She knew exactly what the examination board wanted and presented the information in manageable chunks. Despite the focus on the exam she still conveyed a real interest in the language and how to use it in everyday life".
Andrea - parent
"I had Sue as tutor for my Spanish GCSE course and she completely turned around Spanish for me. I became more confident in the subject, learned a huge amount for each section of the syllabus and went into my exams feeling prepared for whatever came up."
Natasha - pupil
